Senior Paralegal
Tell us how you got to where you are today in your career.
"As a full-time uni student in my final year of a Bachelor of Arts/Law at UNSW, I’m driven to try new things – whether this be by partaking in competitions, involving myself in conferences or even just trying a new sport. I spent my last summer as a law clerk, and was lucky enough to remain as a paralegal at the same commercial law firm in the city. "
How do you set yourself up for a successful working week?
"Over the weekend, I make sure I get a lot of sleep, spend quality time with my family and friends, and get in exercise that I enjoy. I also like to plan my entire week out in my diary so that I can visually see what I have to get done and what I have on. "
What advice would you give to someone looking to enter your industry?
"I would recommend getting involved with as many extra-curricular activities, competitions, and societies at uni so that you can work out what you’re interested in and what you’d like to pursue. Work hard and put yourself out there – everything is worth a shot!"
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
"Definitely the people I work with and the breadth of matters that I see. The matters that I come across at work are often huge, with many having international, cross-jurisdictional issues. I’m learning and doing a lot of things for the first time so I personally love being in such a challenging environment. "
Autumn is officially here, what new season pieces are you most looking forward to?
"One of my favourite new-season pieces is the Leia Tweed Set. I love classic matching sets because they save you time and effort when choosing an outfit and always give you a clean, put-together look."
